  • Charlotte Lucas is 27 and Not Dead was selected as a Semi-Finalist for the SDSU New Musicals Initiative, placing in the top 16 of 160 musicals submitted. 
  • Jessie will be directing Twenty-Six Percent by Elspeth Collard & Sam Rosenblatt in the Emerging Artists Theatre New Works Series.

  • Jessie directed RBO's Wet Wilily: Shakespeare with a Splash! Airing September 17th at 7pm and September 18th at 2pm (est).

  • Jessie (and her brother, composer Jared Field) are finalists in Mass Opera's New Opera Workshop! Read more about their pitch for new opera The Challenger HERE.
  • Jessie's monologue "Circular Wounds" was presented in RBO's Bathroom Monologues. In an exciting turn of events (everyone is okay), Jessie ended up performing the piece for the shows as an understudy.

  • Jessie co-directed RBO's The Garbage Revue - a bad play competition. You can watch the virtual performance HERE until March 31, 2021. 
  • Jessie has become a member of Theatre Now's National Musical Writer's group - with writing partners Gabrielle Mirabella and Ernie Bird!

  • Jessie directed There Never Were Such Devoted by Michele' O'Brien, in The Tank's Rule of 7x7.

  • Jessie directed a virtual performance of RISE by Gabrielle Mirabella and Ernie Bird in Theatre Now's Sound Bites 7.0
  • Jessie directed RBO's staged reading of Inside Siberia by Mallory Jane Weiss

  • Jessie has founded Root Beer Occasion Theatre Company with fellow Tisch Alumni Brandy Hoang Collier! 
  • Jessie directed RBO's inaugural show, The Living Room Stories.

  • Jessie has graduated from NYU Tisch's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program with her MFA! She completed two thesis projects:
    • Return to Grace, a full-length musical with book by Gabrielle Mirabella and music by Ernie Bird
    • Madame President, a 90 minute musical with book by Gabrielle Mirabella and music by Lucy O'Brien. 
  • Jessie is working with fellow alum James Salem on a musical webseries! Click HERE to watch "Is This Art Now? A musical in the time of corona," featuring incredible music by composers James Salem, Erin Hoerchler, Sean Eads, Lydia Breckon, Jared Field, Josh Ben-Ami, and Enzo Veiga.
    • Season 2 was released! More seasons in the works.
